About Bea's Fancy Farm
About Us
Bea's fancy farm is a labor of love. It stands for our three kids' names: Braylen, Emma and Ava, and holds a special place in my heart because my grandmother's name was Bea. She was an avid gardener who canned and created delicious recipes. She passed away in 2014, but her love of gardening stayed with me. While pregnant with our third child, we bought a house on a half acre, that already had an established garden. They grew tomatoes, squash and okra. We didn't even know what the okra plant was, and it took us a good few weeks of Googling and asking people what it was before we figured it out. However, slowly but surely we started building our garden, and I began making salsa, pepper jelly, tomato sauce, and really anything I could with the extra vegetables. In 2020, my dad decided to start a new hobby... Bees! We let him go through the experimental first year before we joined in. We also decided to expand our little operation and bought 40 acres about an hour away from our house. Here we are currently building a lake, a shouse (shop house), an even larger garden, and soon, a few hives. We have started selling our honey locally to friends and family, and we will see where it goes. Thank you so much for stopping by, and if you're still reading, for indulging in such a long explanation of how we came to be(e).
